The challenge of a 60,000 square foot floor plate in a speculative office building in Washington, DC was successfully met by Golba and Associates - Architecture in the design solution created for this national law firm. Working with slab-to-slab heights of 10'-4" and an intensive column grid spacing, Golba and Associates created a design solution that formalized the columns

as the organizing circulation feature, and even added 68% more "false" columns to achieve this effect. The limited construction budget resulted in creative color solutions and established the firm as a strong and growing presence in the nation's capital. The traditional legal environment was turned, then re-centered, by many of the design solutions created during this project.
